Remember our committee conveners and members, that they may feel valuable in their role, and in the decision-making for the vision and work of the Council for Social Witness. Ending violence against women and girls Pray for organisations such as Women’s Aid, who support women in need, and those suffering domestic abuse. Give thanks for politicians and activists who speak out against this issue. Pray that there will be a cultural shift across Ireland, and that violence will cease. Naomi Leremore, global mission worker, Kenya Pray for Rev Jecinta, recently appointed Acting Director of the PCEA Theological Education by Extension (TEE) Programme, as she adjusts to her new role and seeks to lead and guide the department forward. Give thanks for the opportunity that Naomi has to engage in post-graduate studies and pray that these will, in God’s time, bear much fruit in terms of the development, writing and editing of contextually relevant TEE materials for the church. Presbyterian Church of Myanmar (PCM) Five years on, the civil war in Myanmar shows no sign of ending, with over 8,000 civilians killed and 23,000 still in detention. Give thanks that in the midst of this turmoil, the PCM continues to grow. Pray that its membership would know God’s grace, strength, courage and provision in the face of violence, forced recruitment, displacement and food shortages.
