Let’s Pray For Mental health
Mental health cases have risen significantly due to financial strain, unemployment, family issues, and drug and alcohol misuse. Pray that there will be adequate funding for our Health Trusts to provide services in the community. Pray that God will be close to those suffering from depression and other mental health problems.

International Relations  
With many different crises happening across the world pray for global leaders, that they would make wise decisions and seek outcomes for the good of all people. Pray especially for those agencies and organisations which support displaced peoples in countries which often do not have many resources to meet this demand.


General Council
The 2024 General Assembly requested that a group be set up to look at the issue of admission to baptism. Pray for the task group as they meet and consult with others during the incoming week.

Training in Ministry
​The Linkage Commission meets next Tuesday, 28 January. Pray for the Commission as it seeks to take an overview of the denomination in providing resources for ministry, especially at this time when there are fewer ministers than vacant congregations. Pray too for Rev Ker Graham, its convener.

Let’s Pray For Donegal and Stranorlar 
Remember these two vacant congregations as they continue in their life and witness at this time. Pray that, in God’s leading, a new minister would be identified in the coming months to help develop the church’s witness in this area.

​Thank the Lord for the opportunities he has granted in the last 12 months to reach out to the community. Pray for continued guidance from the Holy Spirit, increased opportunities in the nearby schools and that young people who attend our various organisations would have their hearts opened to Christ.

The Christian Evangelical Church in Timor (GMIT), Indonesia  
​GMIT is the second largest Protestant denomination in Indonesia with over 1.5 million members. Pray for Moderator, Rev Samuel Pandie and Secretary, Rev Lay Wenyi, who together with their Synod Board carry responsibilities for the development of GMIT’s ministry and mission during the period 2024-2027.

Let’s Pray For Dundalk
Give thanks for God’s faithfulness and provision in 2024. Pray that we would continue to grow in our faith and understanding of Christ. Pray also for the development of our music ministry and that new people might become part of our congregation.

Let’s Pray For Diane Cusick, global mission worker, Zambia  
Pray for Diane as she works with the staff in the Early Learning Centres throughout Zambia. Pray for good health and safety, particularly for travelling. Pray for the new General Secretary of the Synod, Rev Lazarus Chilenje, that he will know God’s guidance as he leads the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian, Zambia Synod.

PCOSS, Sudan
Pray for the unity of the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan (PCOSS) and that, after many years of civil war, it might once again be in the frontline of peace-making and reconciliation. Pray for the many congregations who have been displaced by conflict and for the ministers who seek to serve members in refugee camps who have many physical and spiritual needs.
