Verse 1]
You will not fear the terror of the night Nor the arrow that flies by day His faithfulness will be your shield And in His dwelling, you'll stay [Pre-Chorus] He will cover you with His feathers In His shelter, you will find rest [Chorus] For the darkness will turn to dawning And the dawning to noonday bright I’ll praise the One who is holding me fast Father of Light [Verse 2] When anxious thoughts fill an endless night And fear paralyses me I'll shout Your name, knowing You will hear And be sure to rescue me [Pre-Chorus] You will cover me with Your feathers In Your shelter, I will find rest [Chorus] For the darkness will turn to dawning And the dawning to noonday bright I'll praise the One who is holding me fast Father of Light [Bridge] I’ll cling onto You and wait for the morning Deliver me, my God, in Whom I trust Oh, I'll cling onto You and wait for the morning, I'll wait, I'll wait Deliver me, my God, in Whom I trust [Chorus] For the darkness will turn to dawning And the dawning to noonday bright I'll praise the One who is holding me fast Father of Light Oh, for the darkness will turn to dawning And the dawning to noonday bright I'll praise the One who is holding me fast Father of Light [Outro] I'll praise the One who is holding me fast Father of Light
