Even if you don’t have the book you can still listen each day, but the book will contain additional information including prayers and a pattern of worship to follow each day. Pray for the ongoing training sessions in the Peixinhos and Beberibe congregations. Pray also for Naomi as she prepares materials for teaching and also for her health and safety. Christian Church of Sumba (GKS), Indonesia Pray for Rev Marlin Lomi, General Chairperson of the GKS which is the largest denomination in Sumba. Pray for the ongoing development of agricultural services as part of a holistic ministry of the church, reaching out to a predominantly farming community, especially those living in poverty. Pray for continued efforts to share the gospel with those who have recently moved into the community. Taughmonagh Pray for the small congregation that now meets fortnightly, asking for God’s kindness and wisdom as they, the interim Kirk Session and vacancy commission consider their involvement in the reimagining of ministry and mission in Taughmonagh. Give thanks for the midweek prayer times, a recent coffee morning attended by residents in the estate and the ministry of those providing pastoral visitation. Give thanks that many people have been attending the iTeach adult training and pray that as they are exposed to the gospel the Holy Spirit will work in lives, bringing conviction and drawing many to Christ. Council for Global Mission Pray for the meeting of the Council on 19th March as members consider the reports from the Global Mission Committee and the Global Development Committee. Pray for these committees as they prayerfully seek God’s wisdom and guidance as regards important decisions on their priorities in the coming years. Pray for the accountants and administrative staff who oversee all of the General Council accounting function, including the work in the social care homes, Union College, salaries, pension and the funds of the church. Training in MinistryThe Ministerial Studies and Development Committee oversees the training pathways of trainee ministers, and their congregational placements. Pray for the Committee, for its convener, Rev Eddie Chestnutt, and for Prof David Leach, the Professor of Ministry. Ask God to give wisdom in all of the decisions about the training of students. International Relations There are many global issues presenting significant challenges to world leaders. Pray for wisdom in decision-making, opportunities for positive collaboration, and outcomes which de-escalate tensions. Pray also for agencies providing support to people displaced in areas of conflict.
