Let’s Pray For Stress In the UK alone approximately 5 million people are stressed and this figure is ever increasing. Pray for those suffering from the effects of stress; pray especially for staff within our Social Witness Services, often working under pressure. Council for Public Affairs As they prepare to meet in the coming weeks, please pray for the committees, panels and task groups within the Council for Public Affairs. Pray for their conveners and members, that they will be able to discern God’s leading regarding their topics and subjects, so that they will engage effectively and speak Christian truths confidently and graciously into the public square. General Council Pray for wisdom for the senior staff based in Assembly Buildings as they face many challenging issues before them – remembering those who deal with external and statutory bodies in this increasingly complex world. Training in MinistryAn induction day for ministry students gives time for worship, prayer and fellowship, along with preparation for the new academic year. Pray for the new students starting their training, and for the second- and third-year students who are returning to full-time study after their summer placements.
