Pray for these vulnerable children. Pray for ministers, designated persons and others within congregations who are dealing with difficult child protection issues. Pray for guidance and wisdom as they work together with Jayne Bellingham, PCI Safeguarding Lead, to resolve issues. Loneliness Pray for those of any age who feel isolated and lonely, especially during the Christmas holidays when normal activities are paused. Pray for opportunities to look out for neighbours and friends, and to share with them the love and hope of Jesus. Give thanks for Helen Johnston (Mission Support Officer), Neil Harrison (Mission Development Officer), Michelle Pollock (Office Manager) and Joyce Craig (Personal Assistant), praying that they would know rest and refreshment over the Christmas season. The Village Project, South Belfast Give thanks for this new mission project that will be developing a fresh witness in this area and seeking to establish a new worshipping community in Pembroke Street in the years ahead. Pray particularly for Gary O’Rourke as he begins work as a Mission Pioneer in February to give leadership to this new work. Pray for the FOCUS interns as they organise fellowship meetings aimed at nurturing the students in the Christian faith. Pray for the youth camps due to be held 10th – 20th December, that lives will be changed and God’s name glorified. GMIH, Indonesia Pray for the Evangelical Christian Church in Halmahera (GMIH), especially Rev Dr Demianus Ice, General Secretary, and all on the Executive Team as they seek to give wise and strategic leadership to the church. Remember Rev Prof James Haire, former PCI missionary to Indonesia, as he visits the church in Halmahera in mid-January. Pray for newer families who have recently started coming to church that they would be willing to invest in the life of the church family. Pray for the process of electing new elders, that God would give his wisdom and direction in this important decision. Derryvolgie Hall Give thanks for the semester that has taken place in Derryvolgie Hall. Pray that the students will have rest over the Christmas break after a busy season of events and studies. Pray for the staff at Derryvolgie Hall, for energy and strength as they plan a new term, particularly in planning and organising the 30th year celebrations coming up in March and May. FranceGive thanks for 50 years of faithful service by Faculte Jean Calvin (FJC) and for its important role in promoting reformed theology in the French-speaking world. Pray for the lecturers as they train men and women for ministry in various Reformed or Protestant denominations. Give thanks for Professor Gordon Campbell’s long association with FJC and pray for him as he continues to contribute from time to time to the teaching there.
