Tides Today we continue on the Road to Emmaus and reach the village with Jesus and the disciples. Suddenly the disciples realise who Jesus is. Tommy Bruce likens this to suddenly realising that Jesus is at work in our lives when we thought he was far away or silent. He suggests that we should respond in the following way . Think of a time when you have been aware of God’s presence, him answering your prayers, even the silent prayer of your heart. How have you been encouraged by this? Have you told others to encourage them? As we go through present difficult circumstances, take time this week to encourage someone by telling them what God is doing in your life.
