This week as we journey through Lent we are being guided by the book “Quietness & Trust” by Matt Searles. Even if you don’t have the book you can still listen each day, but the book will contain additional information including prayers and a pattern of worship to follow each day. There are also songs to listen to each day of Lent and a Lent playlist.
Remember that there will be readings Monday to Saturday each week with a break each Sunday.

Let’s Pray For Diane Cusick, global mission worker, Zambia   
Give thanks for the good rains after a period of drought. Please pray for the committee at Muchini in Chipata as they prepare to build the toilet block at the school, that it can be built quickly to give children good access to sanitation. Please pray for good health for Diane and for safety as she travels.

Church of North India (CNI), India   
​Pray for the those in leadership in the Church of North India as they encourage members to be salt and light in a society where Christians are targeted for their beliefs. Thank God for the young men and women who are being trained with support from PCI to become pastors and leaders of the church.

Let’s Pray For General Council  
​Pray for PCI’s IT department, led by Steve McMurray. Pray for the staff of the department as they implement changes to the system and work in an increasingly difficult environment to protect the computing function against cyber-attack.

Training in Ministry
Members of the Conciliation Service are meeting today for training in Union College. Pray for Rev Paul Jamieson, panel convener, as he leads the training, and for conciliators as they seek to serve the Church in this important way.

Let’s Pray For Disabilities    
Pray for families who provide love and care for children and/or adults with disabilities – learning, physical, visual/ sensory impairment or a combination of these. Give thanks for the support provided by government, charities and the Church. Pray for an increased awareness and understanding of the needs of people living with a disability that sees them more fully
involved and integrated into all areas of society, including education, employment, recreation, and church.  

Hospitality Industry   
​Give thanks for opportunities to enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal with friends and family in the many establishments across the island of Ireland. Pray for the safety of those working in the food and hospitality industries, and for business owners as they balance rising costs and challenges in recruiting staff.

Let’s Pray For Volker & Jinhyeog Glissmann, global mission workers, Southern Africa 
Pray for the Glissmann family currently living in Malawi, especially their health and safety. The situation in the country has been difficult in recent months with rampant inflation and lack of fuel. There has also been civil unrest with demonstrations against the cost of living and high prices for essential goods. 

Leaders In Training 
Give thanks for PCI’s partners around the world, especially their members being trained for leadership roles in church and mission through scholarships from the Council for Global Mission through United Appeal funding. Pray for those whose studies take them away from their families, especially that they may know God’s strength and encouragement in their studies and deepening relationships with him.
