Even if you don’t have the book you can still listen each day, but the book will contain additional information including prayers and a pattern of worship to follow each day. There are also songs to listen to each day of Lent and a Lent playlist.
Remember that there will be readings Monday to Saturday each week with a break each Sunday.

Let’s Pray For General Council  Pray for the Financial Secretary’s Department, led by Mr Ken Swarbrick. Pray for the accountants and administrative staff who oversee all of the General Council accounting function, including the work in the social care homes, Union College, salaries, pension and the funds of the church.

Training in MinistryThe Ministerial Studies and Development Committee oversees the training pathways of trainee ministers, and their congregational placements. Pray for the Committee, for its convener, Rev Eddie Chestnutt, and for Prof David Leach, the Professor of Ministry. Ask God to give wisdom in all of the decisions about the training of students.

Let’s Pray For Social Witness  Caroline Yeomans is Regional Manager. Please pray for Caroline as she returns to work from maternity leave. Give thanks for the safe arrival of baby Bodhi. We remember Caroline and her family as they adjust to a new routine and that God’s hand of protection will be on them all.   

International Relations  There are many global issues presenting significant challenges to world leaders. Pray for wisdom in decision-making, opportunities for positive collaboration, and outcomes which de-escalate tensions. Pray also for agencies providing support to people displaced in areas of conflict.

Let’s Pray For Strand, Rev Mervyn Burnside, vacancy convener During the month of March applications to fill the vacancy in Strand congregation, in the Sydenham area of East Belfast, will come in. Pray that the interview panel will have a clear sense of God’s leading and guiding as they seek to identify a nominee for the vacancy.

Mission in Ireland Evenings  Pray for all those who are speaking at the Presbytery Mission in Ireland Evenings in the coming weeks. Pray that these events would be informative, encouraging and inspiring to all those who attend, thinking particularly of Route Presbytery meeting in Trinity Ballymoney, Templepatrick Presbytery in Muckamore, Down Presbytery in Downpatrick, all on Sunday 16 March, and Armagh Presbytery meeting in Richhill on Wednesday 19 March.

Let’s Pray For Csaba and Ilona Veres, global mission workers, Hungary Give thanks for the contacts with families and young people in Bodaszőlő. Pray for ongoing conversations and an openness to the gospel. Pray also that suitable premises will be found for the church plant congregation to meet in.

Latvia Pray for the work of the Baltic Reformed Theological Seminary (BRTS), especially Mr Artis Celmins, Director, as he takes forward the work of the Seminary, and for the students taking courses in-person and online.

Christian Unions Ireland
The prayer points for this week.

10th – 16th March 
Pray for the CUI team as they gather on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th for Team Days. Team days are a time of community, opening God’s Word together, praying together but also being trained to share the Gospel to students on Campus. Pray this time would be beneficial to the team as they gather. 
Please pray for St Mary’s Teaching College in Belfast. Pray that opportunities for a CU would open up there so the Gospel can be shared there. Pray for Northern Team Leader Luke as he navigates this.

Open Doors has updated the World Watch List. The list of countries where it is most dangerous to be a Christian in 2025.

Let’s Pray For Tullamore, Rev William Hayes Give thanks for the refurbishment of Tullamore’s church building and for the warm welcome the church has received in schools and other community halls in the nine months it has been working and witnessing elsewhere in the community. As this draws to a close, pray for renewed energy as the church move back into its building and all the work that this will involve.

Rachel Cubitt, deaconess, Whiteabbey Pray for Rachel as she continues her work in Whiteabbey, for the congregation and all those she comes into contact with.
