Let’s Pray For Taking Care
Taking Care oversees the child and adult safeguarding of our church, providing advice and support, training & the processing of vetting. Pray for designated persons & ministers who will deal with child protection issues in the coming months, for guidance & wisdom as they work with families, leaders & other organisations.

• Council elections
Elections to local councils in Northern Ireland take place on Thursday 18 May. Give thanks for those who are prepared to serve their local communities in this way, and pray for their continued safety and protection in the last few days of campaigning. Pray that those elected would pursue a peaceful and just society in the decisions that they make.
Saturday 13 May

• General Council
Pray for the ongoing process to identify a new Financial Secretary for the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, to take over from Clive Knox following his forthcoming retirement. Pray especially that a range of individuals might be prompted to apply and that the selection panel might have wisdom and discernment.

• Training in Ministry
The annual conference for ministers who are five years post-ordination takes place next Tuesday-Thursday, in Assembly Buildings. Pray for the ministers who will gather – for encouragement, fellowship, and for the equipping & enabling of God, that they would be ever-more effective in what the Lord has called them to do.
