Let’s Pray For Council for Public Affairs
Please pray for the Council for Public Affairs which met at the end of October. Pray for the work of the Council and its convener, Rev Daniel Kane, as it supports PCI to be a graciously confident gospel presence in the public square.
Illness
Pray for those in our families and friendship circles who have suffered sudden illness recently. Give thanks for the NHS and healthcare professionals, including paramedics and rapid response teams, who are often heroes in emergency situations – providing care when those who take ill suddenly, need it most.
General Council
Pray for the visit of Rev Dr Dean Weaver, Stated Clerk of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (USA), which continues this week. Pray that the engagements and interactions with various groups and activities within PCI will help to nurture and encourage the formal connection between the two Churches.
Training in Ministry
When difficulties arise between individuals the Conciliation Service can play a part in seeking to resolve matters. Pray for the plans being made for refresher training for our conciliators, and for initial training for new conciliators, that those who serve in this capacity will have the necessary skills and tools to help in difficult circumstances.
