We continue in Paul’s letter to the Philippians - Finding Joy Right Here. Paul reminds us that we are citizens of Heaven but we still have to live right here everyday as disciples of Jesus Christ. Each day we have a short devotional video based on some verses from the letter.

Let’s Pray For Taking Care Within PCI we have the privilege of caring for thousands of children in all of our organisations. We give thanks for the Taking Care office who seek to ensure best practice and standards of excellence within our congregations. Pray for Cathy Mullin as she deals with Access NI/Garda Vetting and enquiries. Give thanks for the dedication of Jacqui Montgomery-Devlin, Head of Safeguarding, as she advises and guides ministers and church leaders.
Legacy As discussions continue about legislative proposals to deal with the past, pray for those who find these distressing and painful. Pray that they would find comfort and rest in Christ, particularly when decisions made compound grief and suffering. General Council Take time to give thanks to the Lord for the faithful and devoted service of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as the United Kingdom celebrates her Platinum Jubilee during this incoming week. Ask God to continue to bless Her Majesty at this time of celebration in the days ahead. Training in MinistryMinistry students begin summer placements this month, serving full-time in congregations until September. For some, this will be their first experience of full-time ministry. For others, it will involve ministry in an unfamiliar context. Pray that students will learn, be shaped in character, and that the Lord will bless their service. |
Diane Cusick
“I am getting in touch to ask you to pray for Diane Cusick, PCI’s Global Mission Worker with CCAP Zambia Synod, who is currently here in Northern Ireland on home assignment. Over this past weekend Diane became unwell and was admitted to hospital. Unfortunately over the past 24 hours she has become seriously ill. We would be very grateful if you would remember Diane at this time, praying that she would make a full recovery and for those treating her." Yours in Christ Uel Marrs (Rev) Global Mission Secretary |
“Reading Between The Lines” a series working through the bible looking at the well known phrases.
I heard a story from the Bible
When I was just a little girl
About a broken-hearted woman
Who met the Savior of the world
Thought it was just another story
One that the preacher man would read
But as I'm sitting here at home
Drinking red wine all alone
I think that woman might be me
