Let’s Pray For Social Witness
As Lindsay Conway commences retirement after 19 years with the Council for Social Witness, give thanks to God for his guidance and protection over those years, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Please continue to pray for the work of the Council and for his successor Dermot Parsons. Council for Public Affairs Rev Daniel Kane is the convener of the Council for Public Affairs which is due to meet on Thursday 2 December. Pray for Daniel and the work of the Council as it seeks to support PCI to engage with gracious gospel confidence in the public square. General Council Pray for the ministers and kirk sessions of congregations throughout the island as they seek, over the next few weeks, to maintain measures and mitigations that will keep people safe during Advent and Christmas services and events. Council for Training in Ministry This week Dr Stephen Moore is due to begin work as Lecturer in Old Testament at Union College. Stephen grew up in Hazelbank, Coleraine - pray for him and his family as they settle back into life in Northern Ireland, and pray that the Lord will use the gifts he has entrusted to Stephen as he teaches in the College. |
