With just arriving back from holiday the Blog is a little later this morning. Normal service will hopefully return tomorrow.
This week we begin a brand new series for the summer, “Meals With Jesus!”.
One of the things that we have all missed during the Covid Restrictions is being able to eat together with friends and family. These are always such important occasions when we catch up, encourage one another and learn about each other’s lives. In church we have missed sharing those cups of tea and catching up, so this summer we are going to eat a number of meals with Jesus, beginning this week at the Home of Simon The Pharisee.
Each day we look in a little more detail at the passage from Sunday. Luke 7:36-50
If you missed the service from Sunday you can listen to message below Beside The Burn.

Let’s Pray For The Moderator
Pray for healthcare workers and the healthcare systems which have been under significant pressure due to Covid-19. Many staff are deeply fatigued and resources are scarce. Fanning the flame of congregational life: Being open Ask God to help congregations to be open to not everything about church life returning to the way it was before, so that we can learn from our experience of the pandemic and be reshaped as God desires. Csaba & Ilona Veres (global mission workers, Romania) Pray for the Mission’s summer school in the village of Méra for children who are behind with their studies. Pray for the children to be motivated and committed and that it will help them catch up with reading, writing and maths, and prepare them for the new school year. Indonesia Pray for the work and witness of the Evangelical Christian Church in Timor. Pray especially for the church’s continued efforts to help those still suffering from the damage caused by Cyclone Seroja in April. |
“Reading Between The Lines” a series working through the bible looking at the well known phrases.

There are no times to report for previous Jigsaws, so today we start back with a clean slate and there are going to be some pictures from our recent holiday. This week from the South Coast of England where we stayed in the fishing town of Brixham about 6 miles away from Torquay. Do post or send in your times for the Jigsaw, I know that you like to be encouraged (or discouraged) by checking how others are doing.
