This week we begin a brand new series for the summer, “Meals With Jesus!”.
One of the things that we have all missed during the Covid Restrictions is being able to eat together with friends and family. These are always such important occasions when we catch up, encourage one another and learn about each other’s lives. In church we have missed sharing those cups of tea and catching up, so this summer we are going to eat a number of meals with Jesus, beginning this week at the Home of Simon The Pharisee.
Each day we look in a little more detail at the passage from Sunday - Luke 7:36-50
Let’s Pray For Rosemary Spiers (deaconess in Greenwell Street, Newtownards)
Give thanks for seeing people 'face to face' at church, doorsteps and gardens. Pray for the Kirk Session, that the Lord would guide them in deciding what activities to restart. Pray that the Lord would transform lives from fear and despair, to hope in Christ.
Ballymagrane (Co Tyrone)
Pray for the congregation and its linked congregation, Aughnacloy, as they continue to seek to be Christ-centred and people-focused and as they resume some in-person activities.
“Reading Between The Lines” a series working through the bible looking at the well known phrases.
Trust In The Lord With All Your Heart
This week joining J.John are Marilyn Baker and Tracy Williamson, a remarkable couple of friends who will inspire you with the way that they live and compliment each other with blindness and deafness.
This is part two of the Interview from yesterday and well worth watching.
BLOG HIGHLIGHT TODAY!
Every Tuesday I have been sharing a Question and Answer from the New City Catechism, which is a great opportunity for us to be reminded about what we believe. This week we reach Question 32.
Q32. What Do Justification and Sanctification Mean?
A. Justification means our declared righteousness before God, made possible by Christ’s death and resurrection for us. Sanctification means our gradual, growing righteousness, made possible by the Spirit’s work in us.
If you are on Facebook try the link below, which should take you to some photos that Deirdre took while we were on the second half of our holiday in The Lake District.
We are back into the normal routine for Jigsaws again, just one time from yesterday.
Another puzzle from our holiday. This time the view from Dartmouth across the River Dart to Kingswear which was about a mile from our Camp Site. You can see the little ferry platform being towed across the river.
