This week we begin a new series “How do we cope with James?” This week we ask “How do we cope with ... Peacemaking?” We all face difficulties in life and James has some great advice.
The Gospel Coalition have produced a playlist of 100 songs inspired by the book of James, and I intend to share some of those songs each day on the Blog, but you can listen to the full playlist during the next few weeks as we continue our studies in this book. I have benefited greatly from listening to these songs over and over again as I have asked God to speak from His word.
You can stream the playlist on Spotify or on Apple Music right now.
Here are the songs for today with a little thought about their subject matter.
- “How Long Will You Wander, My Wayward Daughter?” John van Deusen - How long will we wander before we return and submit to God.
- “Antidote for Apathy,” Tenielle Neda - Again all about submitting to God and begins with that well known quote from Jim Elliott. He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.

How Do You Pray For Your Child’s Salvation
Jason Helopoulos writes - Almost every night since they were babies, I have prayed the same prayer for my children: “Father, may they know you, love you, serve you, seek you, honor you, and delight in you all the days of their life.” It is a simple prayer for faith and a life of faithfulness.

27 May – 2 June
Pray for rest for students finishing exams and starting summer holidays. Pray for a fresh excitement for a new year of mission on campus to develop during their time off.
Pray for freshers who will start university in September. Pray that they would connect with their local CU over the summer and feel already a part of the family by the time they begin.
Pray for new CU committees around the island doing leadership training with their staff workers in this period. Pray that they would grasp the vision of what it means to lead a CU, to give their studies, their friendships, their whole lives up in worship to God and seek him as a leadership team together.
