The prayer points for this week. 1 – 9 January Praise God for the Relay Workers this year, for all God has been teaching them as they serve and for the variety of gifts they bring to CUI. Pray for them as they attend their second conference of the year this week, that they would be encouraged as they reflect on the semester that has been and receive encouragement for the semester ahead! TearFund Prayers
Tearfund have some prayers for the New Year based on the book of Ruth. We’ve been here before – seeing in the New Year in the midst of a global pandemic. But even in the most difficult times, we know we have a God who never leaves us nor forsakes us (Deuteronomy 31:6). In the biblical story of Ruth, we can find fresh encouragement for how we can look to 2022 as a year of hope. READ MORE HERE |

These lyrics of Be Thou My Vision make a beautiful prayer for the start of the new year.
Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best thought, by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light
Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true word
I ever with Thee, and Thou with me, Lord
Thou my great Father, and I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling and I with Thee one
Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight
Be Thou my Armor, and be Thou my Light
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tow’r
Raise Thou me heav’nward, O Pow’r of my pow’r
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art
High King of Heaven, my victory won
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heav’n’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all
