Newsletter - Sunday 6th September 2026

Dear Friend of Burnside,

Jesus is Enough, this is our theme for the next few weeks as we explore Paul’s letter to the Philippians.
This week, Jesus Is Enough for our past and future
He began the work, he sustains the work, and he will complete the work in us.

Philippians is not a letter telling people how to be adequate, successful, peaceful, humble, or content.
It is a letter written to people who are “in Christ Jesus” (v. 1): people whose hope lies outside themselves, in
the sufficient Saviour.

Paul’s great confidence is not, “The Philippians have made an impressive start, so I am sure they will finish.”
Rather:
“He who began a good work in you will
carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6, NIV

The Christian life begins with God’s grace, continues through God’s grace, and ends in God’s glory.

Access the Podcast each weekday on the Church Website to find out where the Church in Philippi came from, and who the first people to be converted under Paul’s ministry were.

If you haven’t been at church for a while Sunday is a good time to return.
