I am getting in touch on behalf of New Horizon to ask for your help in recruiting volunteer stewards for this year's event at Ulster University, Coleraine. Each year, stewards play a vital role in helping New Horizon run safely and smoothly. They are often the first people attendees meet and help create a welcoming environment for everyone who comes along. Their responsibilities include welcoming attendees, assisting with directions, helping manage venues, and supporting the wider stewarding team throughout the week. We would be grateful if your church could help us by promoting this opportunity within your congregation. We are aiming to recruit around five volunteers from each church in the area who would be willing to serve during the event week. This could be helping at the morning bible readings or during the evening celebrations. The best thing about stewarding is that you help while also still being in the Big Blue Tent and enjoy the various sessions. No previous experience is required. All volunteers will be invited to attend a short online training session before the event, where we will explain the role and cover key health and safety information. There will also be some training on Saturday 1st August at the New Horizon site where we will carryout a walkaround of the venues and facilities. We will share some food and prayer together as well. This provides an opportunity to meet the team, become familiar with the site, and prepare for the week ahead. If anyone from your congregation would like to volunteer or find out more, please ask them to contact the Stewarding Team at: [email protected] or call James on 07539819991 Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention As part of the Convention this year Alister Begg will be the guest speaker in Portrush Presbyterian on Sunday 23rd August 2026 at 7pm. The seven churches are all invited to this special Sunday Evening. https://www.worldwidemission.org
