The Theme for this week of trypraying is Restoring, you can find the section that was read at the Prayer For Healing Service on pages 46 & 47. Thank you to everyone who stayed for the entire service and prayed throughout, you made an incalculable contribution to what was a very significant evening in our prayer journey. Special thanks to Jean who not only prayed but also played throughout.
Today we are encouraged to ask. In the letter of James a little phrase echoes this theme. "You do not have because you do not ask God" James 4:2. Bruce Wilkinson has said, "Simply put, God favours those who ask." On Sunday we heard the words of Jesus who said, "The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, 'Move!' and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn't be able to tackle." Matthew 17:20 (MSG). So today why not trypraying and ask God for what may seem like a miracle?
The Theme this week is Faith. We began yesterday at our Harvest Thanksgiving services thinking about how Jesus links the Harvest with faith using the mustard seed invitation. Join us this week as we trypraying about Faith.
On Sunday we took a day off from the routine of daily trypraying, but today we start back again on Day 11. As we did at our morning service in Burnside, today and the rest of the week we allow the Beatitudes to guide our prayers. Lets us Bless God as we have been Blessed by Him.
