Welcome to Burnside At Home.
Below are a number of video clips which when watched in order will lead you through a service of worship, of course if you do not have time for the full service you can skip to the parts that interest you most. There are lots of notes to help you worship as well. The opening video of the beach was taken last year before lockdown.
If you would rather watch the whole service as one video playing continually, without the extra text parts, then that option is also below.
Remember you can click the Full Screen option to view the video at a larger size.

“The Energy Of Resurrection”
& The Power Of The Cross
I will exalt you, O Lord,
for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
2 O Lord my God, I called to you for help
and you healed me.
O Lord, you brought me up from the grave;
you spared me from going down into the pit.
11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever.
Psalms 30:1-2,11-12 (NIV 1984)
A Psalm of Ascents
1 I to the hills will lift mine eyes,
from whence doth come mine aid.
2 My safety cometh from the Lord,
who heav'n and earth hath made.
3 Thy foot he'll not let slide, nor will
he slumber that thee keeps.
4 Behold, he that keeps Israel,
he slumbers not, nor sleeps.
5 The Lord thee keeps, the Lord thy shade
on thy right hand doth stay:
6 The moon by night thee shall not smite,
nor yet the sun by day.
7 The Lord shall keep thy soul; he shall
preserve thee from all ill.
8 Henceforth thy going out and in
God keep for ever will.

Offering is much more than just giving money,
Although that is an Essential part of offering,
it is also about offering ourselves to God.
Thank you to everyone who has once again contributed to FWO this week, every contribution is greatly appreciated.
The Offering prayer is based on Psalm 121
Lord we lift up our eyes to you this day
And thank you that all our help comes from you.
We thank you that you have made heaven and earth
That you watch over us and you protect us
As you have given us so much,
Today in response we give to you.
We offer ourselves in your service,
Asking that you would use and bless us
In Jesus’ Name
Amen

Prayer For Others
And
O To See The Dawn
Read by Jim McCracken
I lift up my eyes to the hills–
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip–
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you–
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm–
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
Psalm 121 (NIV 1984)

O To See The Dawn - The Power Of The Cross
Oh, to see the dawn
Of the darkest day:
Christ on the road to Calvary.
Tried by sinful men,
Torn and beaten, then
Nailed to a cross of wood.
CHORUS:
This, the pow’r of the cross:
Christ became sin for us;
Took the blame, bore the wrath--
We stand forgiven at the cross.
Oh, to see the pain
Written on Your face,
Bearing the awesome weight of sin.
Ev’ry bitter thought,
Ev’ry evil deed
Crowning Your bloodstained brow.
Now the daylight flees;
Now the ground beneath
Quakes as its Maker bows His head.
Curtain torn in two,
Dead are raised to life;
”Finished!” the vict’ry cry.
Oh, to see my name
Written in the wounds,
For through Your suffering I am free.
Death is crushed to death;
Life is mine to live,
Won through Your selfless love.
FINAL CHORUS:
This, the pow’r of the cross:
Son of God—slain for us.
What a love! What a cost!
We stand forgiven at the cross.

Where does our help come from?
SONS OF KORAH Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the hills for my help
From where does my help come?
My help only comes from the maker of heaven
From the maker of the earth
He will not let you fall down
Your feet will be firm to the ground
He watches over you
He will not slumber
The Lord who watches Israel will not sleep
The Lord watches over you He is your shade
The shade at your right hand
Even the sun will not harm you by day
The moon will not harm you by night
The Lord watches over your life
The Lord He will keep you from harm
He watches over you
He watches over you
Yes He watches over every step you take
He watches over you
He watches over you
Yes He watches over every step you take
Both now and forever
Both now and forever
Both now and forever
Both now and forever

The Benediction is a blessing on all who have worshipped,
The blessing is based on all that we have been thinking about from Psalm 121
Lift up your eyes! Look around.
Where does our help come from?
My all our help come from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
May He not let our foot slip–
May he watch over us and not slumber or sleep
May the Lord watch over us–
And be the shade at our right hand;
So that the sun will not harm us by day,
nor the moon by night.
May the Lord keep us from all harm–
And watch over our life;
May He watch over our coming and going
both now and forevermore.
AMEN
