Welcome To Burnside At Home And thank you to everyone who is involved in our time of worship today. Church buildings are now permitted to open for Church Services, but the overwhelming view at the moment (from our congregation) is that it is too soon to start meeting together. Therefore we are going to proceed cautiously and safely, and take our time before resuming Sunday services in our church Building. With this in mind please be patient as we make plans over the holiday period to reopen. Many of you are still shielding and therefore Burnside At Home will continue over the summer. |

Phone Burnside continues, where you can listen to the sermon by telephone even if you have no internet access. This week I am delighted that we have Sunday School once again.
There will still be a Children's Message as part of the service but we also have this 20 minute Sunday School from Campaigners Northern Ireland. You can either allow children to watch on a 2nd screen while you listen to the sermon, but better by far is to watch together and learn the songs and talk about the story.
Even if you are not of Sunday School age, I know of several adults who have enjoyed going back to Sunday School as last few weeks. Thanks to Laura at Campaigners for providing this.

Thank you for joining with us today
I wonder have you encountered the same problem that I have over lockdown.
I have found that it is very very easy to become negative about everything.
Politicians don’t answer the questions that they are asked at the briefings
Statistics seem to be stretched to suit the point being made.
Social distancing seems to be forgotten at large events,
Social distancing seems to be ignored on the promenade.
Holiday makers suddenly arrive and what was a quiet peaceful little town is bursting at the seams.
And all of this can make us very negative.
We start complaining about everything
We get worried about more and more
We become negative about everything in life.
It is important that we check this behaviour
And remember that we serve a God of Hope,
A God of Grace
A God who is Sovereign
Who is in control of all things.
And this great God who we will worship today has a great plan for us.
6 Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts
and your minds in Christ Jesus.
