You are warmly invited to join us in Burnside this Sunday, 21st September, at 11:00am for a special time of worship and encouragement. Our theme this week is “Encounter: Truth-Telling Before God – The Practice of Confession”, exploring what it means to step into the light of God’s presence, honestly confess our need, and receive the liberating gift of Christ’s forgiveness. We will be reflecting on 1 John 1:5–2:2—how God’s light reveals, how confession frees, and how Jesus stands as our strong Advocate and Saviour. Our service will be filled with praise and reflection, we will celebrate the hope we have in Christ, who gave Himself for our good and God’s glory. Whatever your week has been like, you are welcome—not because we have it all together, but because God is faithful, gracious, and eager to meet us where we are. Come as you are. Bring a friend or family member. There’s a place for you in God’s light and love among us. If you have any questions or would like to know more, please feel free to reply to this email. We look forward to worshipping with you! Livestream Of Service If you aren’t able to join with us on Sunday you can watch the Livestream at anytime throughout the week. We warmly invite you to join us this Sunday in Burnside as we gather to praise God, seek His presence, and encourage one another for the journey ahead. This week we conclude our summer series, Excess Summer Baggage: Letting Go for a Lighter Life Releasing the burdens we carry for Christ’s freedom. Our focus is on “Throwing Off All That Hinders”, drawing inspiration from Hebrews 12:1-3. In this passage, we are reminded to throw off everything that hinders us and the sin that entangles, and to run with endurance the race set before us. We will discover how faith, the example of those who have gone before us, and especially keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, enable us to travel light and finish strong—no matter what life brings. Whether you feel weary or eager, burdened or hopeful, the service will offer an opportunity to worship, reflect, and be encouraged in your faith. We will sing and pray together, and hear God’s promise for our lives. Bible Reading Hebrews 11:1-3; 39 – 12:3 “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith...” (Hebrews 12:1-2) Come and be part of this time of blessing and fellowship as we journey together.
