This week we conclude our series for the summer, “Meals With Jesus!”.
One of the things that we have all missed during the Covid Restrictions is being able to eat together with friends and family. These are always such important occasions when we catch up, encourage one another and learn about each other’s lives. In church we have missed sharing those cups of tea and catching up, so this summer we are going to eat a number of meals with Jesus, concluding this week as Jesus eats with Cleopas and his friend in Emmaus.
Let’s Pray For Dan Rosbotham (Community Youth Worker in Ravenhill)
Give thanks for the relationships Dan has established with unchurched young people and for the outreach week that took place at the beginning of August. Pray for a successful launch to the Young Life Club in September and opportunities to engage with local secondary schools. Kilkenny (Co Kilkenny) Give thanks that Rev Jonathan Currie is to commence his ministry in Kilkenny on Saturday 4 September. Pray that he will settle well into the new area and that he will get to know the congregation quickly in the midst of the current Covid-19 restrictions. |

Beginning with the declaration, “The gospel of Jesus, it’s the hope of the ages,” this song is a confession of our belief in the Word of God and a reminder that Christ brings us hope and salvation. Despite days of uncertainty and unrest, we can praise God because we know that He is with us always and our future rests securely in His hands. He reigns in victory over everything and He is the Hope of the Ages.
Why We Need To Gather Again
The COVID-19 pandemic was challenging for churches around the world precisely because, in so many places, the saints had difficulty gathering and learning to cherish the words of God together. https://www.crossway.org/articles/why-we-need-to-gather-as-a-church/?utm_source=Crossway+Marketing&utm_campaign=f05f785719-20210814+-+General+-+Gather+as+a+Church&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0275bcaa4b-f05f785719-283323045 |
