This week we continue week 3 of the Journey of Lent, a journey of 40 days through the Wilderness with Jesus Christ towards Easter. We will discover that Wilderness is a much more positive experience than we might imagine and we pray that we will be drawn into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Corrie Ten Boom (58 minute video)
When Nazi forces invaded Holland in 1940 and began rounding up Jews, Corrie ten Boom, her sister Betsie, and their elderly father risked their lives to save as many as possible. A hidden room was secretly built in their home where the oppressed Jews took refuge until a Gestapo raid put an end to their operation. Corrie ten Boom: a Faith Undefeated recounts this unforgettable story for a new generation.

Mission Week Trinity Dublin
Trinity College Dublin student, Sarah White, shares some lessons from their CU mission week.
CUI Chair Jim Crookes is joined by world renowned author and social critic Os Guinness, for a special episode on The CUI Podcast on the Christian and politics. The world watched in shock at the events that unfolded on January 6th outside the Capitol building in Washington DC. Protesters held signs that said “Jesus Saves” as they rampaged through one of the greatest symbols of democracy in the world. In both Ireland and the US, evangelicals are confused and dismayed by the astonishing speed with which their culture has rejected its Judeo–Christian roots. Some are tempted to fight politically in defence of a Christian Nation; at the same time, tens of thousands of young adults from evangelicals are moving into agnosticism or liberal post–evangelical communities. How far should Christians get involved in politics? How should we engage effectively with a post–Christian world in a way that honours the Lord Jesus Christ?
Thanks so much for your ongoing prayers and support. Praise the Lord for open doors to reach out in love to seafarers, even during lockdown. The seafarers need our support these days, more than ever. During February there have been so many stories and situations on board it’s hard to condense, but hopefully my update will give you a flavour and encourage you in your prayers. Please see the file below.
And thank you so much to everyone who has supported us with our car fund. It’s been such a great encouragement to see generous support pouring in. Praise the Lord! With the Lord’s help we hope to get a new car this week. You can read more about it in my update. Thanks so much and God bless you,

Yet they are optimistic and full of joy telling us of the work they have been able to do this year. Watch the interview below to hear from George himself!
