Let’s Pray For Cost of living  With Christmas coming and the recent increases in household costs, many families are finding that income from wages simply isn’t enough to keep pace. This often leads to borrowing money and the accumulation of debts which they see no way of repaying. Pray for families in this situation and for organisations, such as Christians Against Poverty (CAP), which provide advice, help and hope.

Delivery workersMany of us rely on deliveries at this time of year. Pray for those who work in processing facilities at this busy time, often on long shifts, and for those with responsibility to deliver parcels to our doors. Give thanks for the service they provide, and pray that, even in their busyness, they would have opportunities to encounter the grace and hope of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray that those sensing a call to this work will apply, and that congregations would have vision and courage to see new life in new places.

Pray for the Trinity CU Carol service which is being held on 27th November. Pray for opportunities to use the Christmas story and season to reach out to more international students on campus. Pray for special Christmas events and parties hosted by the CU iCafe ministries and international students will attend church and carol services over the month.

MaynoothPray for the youth ministries in the local schools, and on Tuesday and Friday evenings especially, as they gear up for Christmas. Remember the Maynooth church building project due to be completed in March 2024 and pray that the elders and leaders will know God’s leading and guiding as they move into this exciting new phase.

Let’s Pray For Moderator   The Moderator continues his trip in Kenya, visiting the Cowans in Tuum where he will preach this Sunday. Pray for his visits to Gary and Mary Reid and Naomi and Thomas Leremore and boys, that they will be an encouragement.

Worship that encourages“But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.”
Psalm 3:3. 
Ask that God would encourage and lift our heads as we experience his presence and renew our confidence in his power as we worship today.

Give thanks for the opportunities James and Heather have had to share with many PCI congregations during deputation and for the encouragement received. Pray for their time of sabbatical asking that, as they reflect and study, God would clearly lead and guide them to where he wants them to be next.
