Let’s Pray For Social WitnessThe New Year is not a happy time for everyone, especially those who have problems with their mental health. Give thanks for volunteers as they staff helplines at this demanding time of the year, and for resources and television campaigns, which promote the importance of seeking help and of talking through the issues.

Public Affairs Karen Jardine is PCI’s Public Affairs Officer, assisting the Council for Public Affairs in developing the church’s thinking on issues of public policy, as well as coordinating groups that sit under the Council. Pray that God would give Karen wisdom, guidance and peace as she deals with complex issues in the Public Square.

General Council

Pray for those involved in meetings of the General Council committees, panels and task groups, that they might be encouraged as they serve Christ in this way.

Council for Training in Ministry (CTM) Applicants for ordained ministry have an overnight on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 January as part of the interview process. Pray that the Lord would clearly guide applicants and interview panel members, as together they explore the Lord’s will for those who have applied.
