This week we continue a new series for the summer, “Meals With Jesus!”.
One of the things that we have all missed during the Covid Restrictions is being able to eat together with friends and family. These are always such important occasions when we catch up, encourage one another and learn about each other’s lives. In church we have missed sharing those cups of tea and catching up, so this summer we are going to eat a number of meals with Jesus, continuing this week as Jesus eats with Mary & Martha.

Let’s Pray For Moderator
The Church Leaders Group (Ireland) has been an important forum for the Moderator to meet with other denominational leaders, and to gain wisdom during this unprecedented time of pandemic. Steve and Rosie Kennedy (global mission workers, Romania) Give thanks for a successful Holiday Bible Club, held from 2-4 August. Give thanks for the leadership team meeting on 9 August, and pray for wisdom as they plan their way forward. Pray that their family holiday will have brought relaxation and refreshment. Afghanistan Pray for the country at this time of upheaval and transition unfolding amidst rising Covid-19 cases. Remember those evacuated or fleeing Afghanistan, that they would find refuge and be guided in their next steps. Pray for peace and stability in the country at this critical point in its history. |
Last Wednesday I shared a number of articles to guide us in our praying for Afghanistan and some of you told me how helpful they were. Although the situation is changing fast some of the articles are still useful. You can view last Wednesday’s Blog here.
