Join me each week-day for a short devotional video including a bible reading and prayer to encourage us in our faith.

Some of you have asked for the poem from Sunday.
My Father's way may twist and turn,
My heart may throb and ache,
But in my soul I'm glad to know,
He maketh no mistake.
My cherished plans may go astray,
My hopes may fade away,
But still I'll trust my Lord to lead
For He doth know the way.
Tho' night be dark, and it may seem
That day will never break,
I'll pin my faith, my all in Him,
He maketh no mistake.
There's so much now I cannot see.
My eyesight's far too dim;
But come what may, I'll simply trust
And leave it all to Him
For by and by the mist will lift
And plain it all He'll make,
Through all the way, tho' dark to me,
He made not one mistake.
Let’s Pray For Moderator
Give thanks that the Moderator is once again able to resume some of the usual activities and visits in this, the last phase of his year in office. Pray for the Sunday morning service at Windsor which will be taken by the Moderator – the final one before the congregation at Windsor re-locates. Pray also for the Ards Presbytery Day of Prayer – culminating in a Presbytery wide service at Hamilton Road, Presbyterian Church, Bangor. Worship: Duty and joy ‘Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.’ Psalm 95:1. As we worship today ask God to help us to do so as joyful duty, with hearts that want to declare him worthy of our praise. Myanmar Pray for the people of Myanmar one year on from the 2021 military coup. Pray for a just and fair government which will seek to support everyone living in Myanmar. Pray for the leaders and members of the Presbyterian Church of Myanmar, may they be assured that God is with them and be strengthened in their faith. Afghanistan Pray for the people of Afghanistan, especially those struggling to afford enough food and other basic necessities. Pray for our partners Christian Aid Ireland and Tearfund as they seek to get aid to those in need. |
