Beside The Burn
A short devotional video each day, this week we continue our series in the Gospel of Matthew meeting Jesus - The King.
Lent - Wednesday 22nd February 2023
This year for Lent we are going to follow “Truly, Truly I Say To You” by Adam Ramsey. We are going to listen to the sayings of Jesus from every chapter of the Gospel of John. Each day there is a thought based around the saying a prayer and a reading from Charles Spurgeon. You can pick up or order a copy at local bookshops, or by using the links below. There will also be a few copies available in Burnside for £7. Please have the correct change available. You can buy the book from The Good Book Company Paperback for £8.49 or digital for £7.99 https://www.thegoodbook.co.uk/truly-truly-i-say-to-you Or from Amazon Paperback £9.99 or digital £7.46 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Truly-truly-say-you-Meditations |

Valentine’s Day Playlist
Brett McCracken has put together a playlist of 35 songs entirely composed of married couples singing together: Johnny and June Cash, Drew and Ellie Holcomb, Jon and Valerie Guerra (Praytell), Vito and Monique Aiuto (The Welcome Wagon), Jesse and Leah Roberts (Poor Bishop Hooper), Michael and Tanya Trotter (The War and Treaty), Dave and Licia Radford (The Gray Havens), and many more. Not every artist on this list is Christian, but all of the songs here represent a common grace goodness Christians should celebrate. Find the playlist on Spotify or Apple Music. |
