Today we continue on the Road to Emmaus and reach the village with Jesus and the disciples. Suddenly the disciples realise who Jesus is. Tommy Bruce likens this to suddenly realising that Jesus is at work in our lives when we thought he was far away or silent. He suggests that we should respond in the following way .
Think of a time when you have been aware of God’s presence, him answering your prayers, even the silent prayer of your heart. How have you been encouraged by this? Have you told others to encourage them? As we go through present difficult circumstances, take time this week to encourage someone by telling them what God is doing in your life.
Yesterday I mentioned how some people have written a testimony about Lockdown based on two questions.

The Humble Wellie Boot
In the latest PCI blog, Rev Ian Harbinson reflects on the humble wellie boot with the old saying, ‘never judge a man till you’ve walked a mile in his boots’. Ian writes that Jesus walked many a mile in our boots, walking all the way to the cross
