Let’s Pray For Social WitnessPray for Dermot Parsons, Director and Secretary to the Council for Social Witness, who has overall responsibility for the professional services and the coordination of the Council as a whole. Give thanks for his commitment to the provision of a high standard of social care on behalf of our church.

LeadershipPray for Permanent Secretaries and other senior leaders in the Northern Ireland Civil Service as they seek to make decisions against a difficult political backdrop. Pray also for senior officials in the Irish Civil Service as they adjust to the plans and priorities of a new Ministerial team.

General Council

Pray for a special service being held on Sunday afternoon, 22 January at St Anne’s Cathedral to mark 100 years of the Irish Council of Churches of which PCI is a founder member, and for the ICC and its work as it celebrates its centenary throughout the year.

Council for Training in MinistryThe Assignments Panel assigns ministry students to congregations for placements and assistantships – a vital aspect of students’ preparation for ministry, providing valuable opportunities to learn alongside a supervising minister. Pray for the Panel as it meets on 27 January, that the Lord would guide its decisions.
